It's actually sunny today in London and its giving me hope that spring is not so far off. I know, it may be wishful thinking but I've been staring at this tree in my backyard for almost a month now -
Maybe its just a tease and the fact that it bloomed in February has nothing to do with heralding the coming of spring. But I choose to believe otherwise because I'm tired of cold, wet, and grey London. I'm longing for the days to stay light a bit longer and to see the beginning of warmer days.

Just before summer began Mr. M and I moved into an old/new house. The house was built in the 1800's and survived the bomb blasts of WWII (you can actually see where the brickwork had to be replaced after the house was hit) and came with all the, umm, shall we say quirks of a house that is well over 100 years old.
But for me, the biggest challenge in renovating the house hasn't been the house itself. Its the garden that came with the house.
